Digi Layout

For a little while a few months back I got involved in digital layouts - wow so much fun but not so much that I would give up "Hands On" scrapping. Must admit that digi scrapping would probably be a whole lot cheaper and there is a huge range of kits for sale out there not to mention the free ones that can be found. Anyway this is one of the digi layouts I did and my favourite so thought I'd share with everyone :)

Are You A Craft Addict

Does scrapbooking/cardmaking control you life? Do you stay up into the small hours perfecting your latest design? Take this quick quiz to find out if you really are a craft addict!

I got mostly D's so I am a.................CRAFT ADDICT!
Well this would be me if I didn't have a nagging husband telling me to clean the house, wash & iron the clothes and cook dinner!

Let me know what you got by leaving a comment or post it in my chat box :)

1. Your best friend announces that she's getting married. Do you:
a) Congratulate her enthusiastically.
b) Send off a handmade congratulations card the very next day.
c) Spend a couple of hours that evening, heat embossing with the wedding stamp set you've been saving for just such an occasion.
d) Spend the whole night making your best card ever, featuring heat embossing and stitching, and present it in a pretty box. This is a once-in-a-lifetime cardmaking occasion, so what better excuse do you need?

2. You're thinking of moving house because....
a) you're having another child and need a third bedroom.
b) You need a third bedroom to store all your craft stash.
c) The third bedroom that you have already is far too small for your craft stash, so it's time to find a bigger one.
d) You need a place with loft conversion potential or a double garage, to turn into your own personal craft studio.

3. Your dining table is mainly used for....
a) Eating dinner sensibly as a family. What else?
b) The occasional scrapping session when you have time, but you always tidy up afterwards.
c) Regular scrapping sessions. You try to clear it in time for dinner but sometimes end up sitting on the sofa with dinner on your lap.
d) Crafting again, although your table never sees the light of day; it's always covered with scrapping goodies and half-finished projects.

4. What's cooking in your kitchen?
a) Sausage casserole and mash, with a side order of peas.
b) Cooking? You need to finish that layout/card before you can even think about dinner.
c) You're planning to get a takeaway, so you've more time to experiment with your brand new stamps and papers.
d) What? You were so engrossed in playing with your new Crop-a-Dile and matching grommets, that you forgot all about dinner.

5. Your daughter asks you to help make her wedding stationery. You....
a) Are very happy to help out.
b) Are thrilled, and ask what colour theme she has in mind.
c) Have been tinkering with design ideas for a while now, ever since she first got engaged.
d) Present her with five alternative design samples and offer to take charge of creating whichever one she likes best.

6. Your friend tells you she's bought a personal trimmer. Do you:
a) Ask if she's ever considered waxing.
b) Ask if it's big enough to take scrapbook papers.
c) Ask whether she chose the Fiskars or the X-Cut version.
d) Discuss at length the merits of choosing a guillotine action over a sliding blade.

7. You're standing in the queue for the girls in your local pub. You....
a) Wish it would go faster so you can get back to your glass of wine.
b) Notice the vintage scroll patterns on the wallpaper and think that it would make a lovely design for a stamp.
c) Notice the vintage scroll patterns and make a mental note to look for a similar stamp, next time you're browsing the internet.
d) Scribble down an idea for a card as soon as you get back to the table. You need to get back to your craft stash asap, to get started on the design!

8. Your husband offers to buy you a Big Shot for your birthday. Do you:
a) Wonder why - you don't even like vodka.
b) Tell him that's the most wonderful idea; just perfect.
c) Panic because you secretly bought one last week, and haven't yet managed to confess your latest purchase to him yet.
d) Tell him that it's a lovely thought but, actually, what you'd really like is to upgrade your tradition die-cutters to digital versions.

9. Your friend confesses to you that she's accumulated a large stash. Do you:
a) Consider phoning the police.
b) Ask whether it's mainly scrapbooking supplies or cardmaking as well.
c) Swap notes on how many stamps you each have in your collections.
d) Reassure her that there's nothing wrong with accumulating lots of stuff, and recommend that she clear out some cupboards to make room for it.

10. The postman has come early with a special delivery. Do you:
a) Wish he had come a bit later so you could have had a bit more time asleep, in bed.
b) Wonder if this could be the parcel of new embellishments you ordered.
c) Spring out of bed and rush to the door in eager anticipation - could the new set of Penny Black stamps be here already?
d) Quiver with anticipation - you've ordered the new Making Memories Slice die-cutter direct from America, as it's not out in Australia yet.

So how did you get on? Add up how many answers you had for each letter, then read below and find out whether you're a complete scrapbooking/cardmaking addict or not!

Mostly As
Oh dear, you really need to get in touch with your creative side! You are well rounded and dedicated in your normal day-to-day life, but you haven't yet fully discovered the joy, relaxation and creativity that scrapbooking/cardmaking can bring. Take a visit to a craft shop, enrol in a workshop/class or try a project that you have seen in a magazine. A whole new world of crafting awaits you -enjoy!

Mostly Bs
You're a good cardmaker who loves to get your craft box out when you get the chance, and friends love receiving your handmade cards on special occasions. Don't forget that you need 'Me' time just like every else though, so make sure that cardmaking has a regular slot in your calendar. Take time out to learn a new technique or two, or why not venture out and start scrapbooking - your guaranteed to get great enjoyment from it.

Mostly Cs
You're a real dedicated scrapbooker/cardmaker. You are, in fact, just the right side of addicted - scrapbooking/cardmaking plays an important part in your life, and you really enjoy getting in touch with your creative side and learning new things. On the other hand, you're not completely and utterly obsessed with it, and you still find quality time to spend with your family, even if dinner is a little late on occasion! Give yourself a pat on the back, and keep up the good work.

Mostly Ds
You are definitely a craft addict. In fact, scrapbooking/cardmaking has completely taken over your life! You adore all the shopping, all the creativity and all the joy you get from giving someone a special handmade card or doing a layout. But don't forget to leave the house every now and then, and find time for friends and family - perhaps you could invite them over for a crop or cardmaking session, with you at the helm! If you get the balance right, you can still have your scrapbooking/cardmaking cake and eat it too!
